Locally Sourced Foods – Value for Money – Warm Friendly Environment
“Here we sit in the North of Leitrim, surrounded by a rugged landscape – wild and fresh. This is how we like it and it is how we love our food.” says Chef John. John was reared in a home that prepared & served fresh home-grown veggies from his Dad’s garden. John learned early that locally sourced foods was the best food and he has always championed the local food experience.
From the beginning, he has strived to offer the best of locally sourced foods where possible and to give value for money and a warm friendly environment for his customers to relax in and enjoy.
Locally Sourced Foods
Leitrim may not boast of much of a coastline of its own, claiming a mere 4km but it’s neighbours can. Leitrim and the North West produce world class quality local produce from farmer to fisherman.
The most succulent of meats come from Sligo’s Sherlock’s Craft Butchers who source their produce locally & organically where possible and from Harvey Meats here in Dromahair. Salads & herbs come from Eden Plants, just up the road in Rossinver, Co. Leitrim, our vegetables come from Gerry Mawn in Manohamilton and our ducks from Thornhill Farm, Blacklion, Co. Cavan.
For our specialist foods we work with BD Foods and Pallas Foods. And for the freshest of seafood we go to Killybegs, to Albatross Seafood who get their fish fresh daily off the boats fishing in the North East Atlantic.

Warm Friendly Environment
A home away from home… for many of our guests, this is what The Clubhouse Gastro Bar is. They join us regularly for lunch as they know they can count on us for consistently delicious food. But more than anything, it’s the warm genuine welcome, the banter & smiles at the bar or at their table and the friendly atmosphere that fills The Clubhouse that brings them back time and time again.
The Riverbank Restaurant, found on the 2nd floor is the preferred choice for a less casual meal. It may be more ‘formal’ but the welcome, great atmosphere and wonderful hospitality is known far and wide.
